The Northern Circuit of Tanzania forms the country’s most popular safari circuit with Arusha being the launching pad for most of the tour done in the region. It links the Serengeti National Park, known for the annual wildebeest migration and endless plains rich in predators, only next to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its vast volcanic caldera supporting dense wildlife populations including the Big Five.
Tarangire National Park is best known for hosting largest elephant population anywhere in the country as well as the ancient-old baobab tree, while Lake Manyara National Park offer groundwater forest and strong birdlife. The nearby Arusha and Kilimanjaro national parks add montane forest, crater lakes, and views of Africa’s highest mountain.
