Overview
Starting and ending in Arusha, this 6-day African safari explores Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife in three of the country’s most impressive national parks.
Begin the tour by exploring the wildlife-filled wilderness of Tarangire before continuing to the home of the tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara National Park. Complete your adventure in the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Day By Day
Day 1: Arrival – Pick Up and Transfer to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by our driver and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, a comfortable short road trip that allows time to settle in after your flight.
Once at the lodge, you can rest and adjust at your own pace before the safari begins. Later in the evening, you will meet our safari manager for a short briefing about the tour ahead, including an overview of the itinerary and practical details for the coming days. The meeting will take place at the hotel; please check the notice board in the lobby or confirm the time and location with reception upon arrival.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire
After breakfast, you depart Arusha and drive southwest toward Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for a game drive.
The landscape here is open and seasonal, shaped by the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout much of the year. You spend the day exploring different areas of the park, watching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of birdlife commonly seen along the riverbanks and acacia woodland.
A picnic lunch is taken inside the park before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Later in the day, you proceed to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands
Today’s program takes you toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive is longer but rewarding, with changing scenery from highland forests and crater views to the wide-open plains that define the Serengeti.
Wildlife sightings often begin even before reaching the park boundaries, and your game drive effectively starts along the way. You arrive in the Serengeti in the afternoon and continue exploring as you head toward your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti – Full Day
An early morning game drive offers another opportunity to experience the Serengeti when wildlife activity is often at its peak. After breakfast, you continue with a final game drive while gradually making your way out of the park. In the afternoon, you travel back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ascending into the cooler highlands where you spend the night near the crater rim or in the surrounding area, preparing for the next day’s descent.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater - Transfer to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor supports a dense concentration of wildlife, and over the course of the morning you explore its grasslands, wetlands, and wooded areas while looking for a variety of animals that inhabit this enclosed ecosystem.
Following a picnic lunch, you ascend the crater walls and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening where the safari concludes.
